Fire Main System
Standard Specification
The fire main system and the emergency bilge system share the AC, and the portable diesel pumps.
Primary fire hydrant (default) pump - centrifugal type - 400V AC - self-priming - capacity 45m3/hr @ 10m head - operated via switches located on the port side electrical panel within the engine room and in the fire hydrant locker. This pump will supply 2 fire hydrants positioned to cover all areas of the vessel.
Fire fighting equipment provided at fire hydrant point (sited in a fire locker) c/w fire hose and nozzle with instantaneous connections and quick release valves.
Secondary pump – portable centrifugal type – self priming – coupled to a manual start diesel engine. This pump will have a capacity of circa 40m3 / hr (approx 11L / sec) @ 10m head.
Pipe for all above systems to be a mixture of Cupro-nickel press type, Parker 421 SN (low pressure) non-metallic and flexible PVC hose (with spiral helix)
Bilge System
Standard Specification
The fire main system and the emergency bilge system share the AC, and the portable diesel pumps.
The bilge system as well as the above two pumps has four dedicated DC submersible pumps.
Machinery space - fitted with four bilge suctions. Three connected to submersible pumps for direct suction and one connected to the bilge manifold
Accommodation under floor - fitted with two bilge suctions. One direct connection to a submersible pump and one connected to the bilge manifold.
High level float switches operating a warning light and alarm at the main and upper console.
Each bilge suction will be fitted with a detachable and easily cleaned strum box.
Primary pump - centrifugal type - 400V AC - self-priming - capacity circa 45m3/hr @ 10m head. Operated via switches located on the port side electrical panel within the engine room and in the fire hydrant locker
Secondary pump – portable centrifugal type – self priming – coupled to a manual start diesel engine. This pump will have a capacity of circa 40m3 / hr (approx 11L / sec) @ 10m head

Fire Main System
Standard Specification
The fire main system and the emergency bilge system share the AC, and the portable diesel pumps.

This pump will supply 2 fire hydrants positioned to cover all areas of the vessel.
Fire fighting equipment provided at fire hydrant point (sited in a fire locker) c/w fire hose and nozzle with instantaneous connections and quick release valves.

Bilge System
Standard Specification
The fire main system and the emergency bilge system share the AC, and the portable diesel pumps.
The bilge system as well as the above two pumps has four dedicated DC submersible pumps.
Machinery space - fitted with four bilge suctions. Three connected to submersible pumps for direct suction and one connected to the bilge manifold
Accommodation under floor - fitted with two bilge suctions. One direct connection to a submersible pump and one connected to the bilge manifold.
High level float switches operating a warning light and alarm at the main and upper console.
Each bilge suction will be fitted with a detachable and easily cleaned strum box.

435 Litre black water holding tank - polyethylene resin with extra wall thickness c/w permanently open vent line.
Tank contents can be discharged in two ways directly: (1). Through the deck connection supplied (this connection adheres to MARPOL Annex IV 73/78) regulation (iii). & (2). For discharge of raw sewage at sea, 1 x discharge/macerator pump rated at 24V DC capable of discharging circa. 19 l/min is provided. This pump can be operated from the main electrical panel location.
Tank level monitoring at main electrical panel - warning lights showing tank ½ full & full - float type level sensing
Piping - ABS plastic pipe and flexible sanitation hose (1 ½”) will be used throughout the system.
Valves - All valves are of full ball type manufactured from ABS plastic.
Grey Water System
Showers, baths, wash-basins drain to main grey water tank (100 litre).
Grey water tank (100 litre) - polyethylene resin with extra wall thickness c/w permanently open vent line.
Galley services shall drain directly overboard.
Where drainage is not possible - sump boxes c/w 24V DC pump are provided
All discharges (where possible) are to be fitted with water traps
For discharge of waste water, 1 x discharge/macerator pump rated at 24V DC capable of discharging circa. 19 l/min is provided
